Good luck buying the Snoopy at retail.

Wasn't the point. The point is it is nearly $4k less and it has a lot going on too. So you could say it is a pretty good deal compared to the new Apollo 8. If it too sold for $14k MSRP then on the grey market it would be $4k more than it is today.

Something about a rocket spinning out of control doesn’t strike me as a good design choice here.

Well, maybe Elon Musk would disagree?

But the rocket is actually spinning under complete control

Is that similar to a Cybertruck not climbing under control?

Tried the new one on yesterday. Apologies it’s only a quick shot I took.
The detail on the dial is stunning and I love the little rocket. I am 50 though and needed a loupe to appreciate it! I could have sat there with it all day though!
New rubber strap has a fantastic feel. I would buy this strap if I had the old one. Maybe could work on the Super Racing as well.
Easy to wind the new movement and that sounded great and was very satisfying to wind.
So worth a 40% increase? Not sure about that but is it a stunning piece? yes it is. If you love the look of this watch, you won’t be disappointed when you see it in real life.

Omega never fails to disappoint. That should be the new slogan. I do not know what is happening with them but they remind me of Panerai back in the day. Great customer support and a cult like following. Based on some significant corporate decisions they alienated the customer base and so many people moved away, never to return. I am a huge fan but even I have to take pause and acknowledge something is wrong. What I hear from my fellow enthusiasts of late is excuses. You don't need to explain, if it works, or it is right. Probably more the Swatch Group but so many missed opportunities. The fiasco of the Moonswatch. Let's grab as much cash as we can and diminish the overall Omega brand in the process. Can Omega do anything other than a Speedmaster or Seamaster that is commercially successful? I have hope, but with each misstep it is hard not to acknowledge the challenges ahead. As far as this new DSOTM it is a 14k cash grab for a watch they already did that almost no one bought, except me and a few others. Many say it is cool but few will buy one. Just introduce the white dial Speedmaster and go on with it.

Was at the OB today & they said the new White Speedmaster will be released in February. I think the first Tuesday in February.
