The SD is a badazz for a reason. Increadable wrist presents yet very comfortable to wear. Plus you get the glidelock clasp which is in its own league. The all brushed SS bracelet and clasp will hide scratches significantly better than a PCL in 18k. I had a Bluesy for almost two decades and the daily wear of the pcl can be frustrating compared to a brushed SS. Go for the Redline43.

If you go with the SD43, you will get one of the new forum “SD evolution” owners club cards.

SD for me. But only because I enjoy the SS sports watches.

Two great watches but if only one, I would personally pick the SD43

Unless you plan on going gray market, your decision could easily be decided for you. I suspect SD43’s show up more often.

I lucked out. I missed getting a Hulk but was the AD pulled a SD43 from the safe and it just sang to me. My lists for Hulks all got call backs within 30 days (and got that from the AD that sold me the SD43. I have been on their GMT Pepsi list since Basilworld and just got on the rootbeer list. I don’t think my dealer has much optimism for either showing up this year. I think I am about 4 and 6 on the lists, but who knows

I'd vote rootbeer but I'm biased owning one and having 6.5" wrists makes the SD43 too big.

I'd go for the SD if the size is right, as you said it's a badass piece but no doubt the CHNR is a beauty too. Sorry I'm no help but have fun choosing. .

Correct.

Root beer is the most awesome of the two.

Congrats OP.

Mark - does it wear much bigger than your LV? Seriously considering adding the SD43 to the stable?

Hi, yes it wears bigger and heavier, and of course you notice the difference in height compared to the LVc.

But because of the wider bracelet, it doesn't feel top heavy or uncomfortable at all. I can only advice you to add one sooner than later, I'm sure you'll love it.

If this was my decision to make, it would be the RLSD all the way. Right now, I think the GMT is the most overhyped watch in the Rolex lineup. That being said, the rootbeer is probably the 3rd or 4th best out of that lineup. But it’s all about what you like and what you’d enjoy more.

The 4K would easily become by new daily. I could probably do without the SubC with the Sea-Dweller and put that toward the rootbeer. That is, if I had any desire for it,

I don't generally like two tone watches but the CHNR rootbeer is by far the nicest looking out there IMO.
