What is this between crystal & rehaut?
What is this on top of the rehaut at approx 12'oclock? Some sort of sealer? Corrosion?

Well it looks to be some corrosion under there. Does the watch get exposed to salt water? It appears something got under and inbetween the gasket and case ring it should be taken apart cleaned and a new gasket and watertest performed. Rikki

Thanks. This is actually a watch that I was considering purchasing. I had pretty much already decided to pass but I just wanted to get a second opinion here.

If that's what's visible ... who knows what's on the inside ...

Certainly corrosion. Could be from condensation, but the question still remains "what is the source of the moisture"? A bad seal or maybe a crown left loose.

Something definitely got inside. I wouldn't say corrosion right away without having a direct look at it with a loupe. But definitely there is SOMETHING loose to create that. And as someone mentioned, if you noticed that there, who knows what else got in.
