Watchmaker Tool Kit

Hey guys and gals!

Would you please be so kind as to furnish me with details regarding watchmaker tool kits.

I would specifically like to have an extremely good quality, comprehensive kit, that would enable me to do the 'basics', so to speak. Money is not an object, to a degree, naturally. I realise that I'm being rather vague, however, I can't really think of any other way of explaining it.

As I'm disabled, it would have to be an online purchase.

Any help would be extremely appreciated.

TIA

Not really sure if there's a comprehensive tool kit, but take a look at Bergeon. They make great quality tools for watchmakers. Check out ottofrei.com.

Min requirements: A good quality watchmaker's screwdriver set (replaceable bits), a Bergeon spring bar tool, and a pin press (extractor/installer) for the clasp pins. There are lots of other tools for these babies, but most of us are just not trained to use them. Take Care!

Many thanks for your replies, John and Jeff.

I'll have a think about the tools that I'll require over the weekend.

Out of curiosity, I have the discontinued Sea Dweller and in the box is the SD 'springbar'. At least I think that's what it's called! Will that fit most, if not all, Rolex models?

If its a springbar for the endlink....yes, it should fit most Rolex sports models. If its the link that connects the clasp to the bracelet (sits inside the divers extension)....then no. One is 20mm and the other (I believe) is 18mm.
