Rolex Steel sky dweller blue dial
Grey market prices for this particular piece is crazy but just might have to pay it as I can’t see me waiting for it 🤦*♂️
Do you guys think they’ll drop in price or just keep going up New member to the group Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It'll drop eventually, but it might take awhile. Whether aftermarket prices are worth it depends entirely on what that money means to you personally (and how patient you are).
But it's certainly a lovely piece. If I had a larger wrist, I'd definitely want one myself. |

Prices will not drop any time soon. Rolex started a general policy towards keeping up pricing level as high as possible. Surely though in a year or two list prices will climb up and grey dealers will follow suit. The more you wait the higher will your buying price be. This is what Rolex wants us to comprehend. Though not completely applicable let me say that for two years i ponder over 16610LV. NOS it was eur 10k. Now it is over 15k.

I don't see this one dropping any time soon. My thoughts are the supply demand issue with this particular watch is a little different than other hard-to-get Rolex models. There are a lot of people who want it, though not as many as people trying to get a SS Daytona or BLRO. That being said, I'd also guess the supply itself is more limited than those other hard to get watches, making it more scarce on a relative basis. I don't see any signs of Rolex upping the product of blue dial Sky D's anytime soon.

Crazy price difference to the dial colours I got a white dial but think I might have to trade and give some $$ to get a blue dial from the grey market

I don't see any signs of it settling anytime soon but I'd try and ride it out if you've got a good AD.

I don’t see prices going down on SS models. The demand is growing even with these prices.

If you are not in a bad rush, the global economy is heading towards a recession, and prices of luxury watches being non-essentials (for non-WIS anyway) will generally fall in bad economic times.

If it was my grail watch I would get one now. They're not going to get any cheaper any time soon. Unless you believe your AD will deliver one before it is either discontinued or you die from old age.
I'd love a Blue SS one but not for what they are going for at the moment. Which pretty much takes it off my radar for good. I went grey for my grail - 116610LV. That was a one time only strategy after I was satisfied that I wouldn't get one through an AD. It turns out that I'm being paid to wear it - but that's just a technicality. I won't be selling it. I was ill prepared for just how much pleasure owing and wearing this watch would bring me. It was worth every penny to me. If that's how you will regard your Sky Dweller, buy it now. |

Supply is low, Demand is high, so it will be a sellers market for the forseeable future it seems. Unless you get lucky somehow you'll probably have to bite the bullet for that one being it's one of the hottest models out there.

Also we need to think we speake about most complicated watch Rolex produced ever. They can sell 10x more simply movement on Sub, GMT or other watch.
I don’t think the price for SS SkyDweller will fall ever. I think maybe in the future will see a rise price on retail list. Maybe Rolex play a game. For me it’s strange a brand like Rolex who sell beauty and quality watch to sell the most complicated movement ever produce on SS watch at 13150 euro? Maybe in the future will see a rise on retail price for SkyD. At 13150 retail price SkyD it’s more cheap then Rolex YM II who is around 17000€ on retail who have only a countdown chrono for 10 minutes. For me something it’s strange on retail price policy and Rolex know more then any other luxury brands to play with this! |

I don't say this bragging but ive never had problems getting watches as I have great relations with a couple of ADs. BUT, this one was the exception. Ive had a few ADs say they have never even gotten one. I was one on the waitlist for a year and a half and got the call just a couple of weeks ago. I don't see them going down. Maybe just bite the bullet......

Personally, I think the demand will drop for them.
It's a large watch that suits very few wrists. At the moment they are a novelty due to the scarcity, eventually they will become more common and people will flip them when they realise the watches are too big for them. 8.5" wrist here and its perfect... but any less than 8, probably doesn't look quite so good imo. |
