Other uses for rotateable bezel on sub

I used to use it to keep date on a no date, now since I got an lvc i use it to roughly mark sundown since my work depends on day light most of the time, anyone else use it For something unique?

I use the bezel all the time on my sub, as most things I do are time dependent at my job in healthcare. Its not uncommon for me to use it 5 or more times each day. Unlike many, I still use my watches as actual tools, and use my chronos frequently as well.

If you do not need split second accuracy, its the best chronograph on the market and no screw down pushers to boot.

Curious on the date, do you use the one to fifteen markers twice and then add fifteen to the date on the second time around?

A better mental exercise is to figure out additional uses for the non-rotating bezel on the Exp II.

I use the bezel so much, I must have one. One of the most important and effective uses was to time my wife’s contractions with our kids. I can tell you in a time of stress, this was priceless. A chronograph with its small dials would have been too hard to use on the fly. Sun by the pool or timing the grill, kids iPad time, etc... it is by far the most simple and effective device for timing.

I always thought the bezel must be kept within a cats whisker of the 12 O'clock marker otherwise watch could explode reading the hundreds of posts on forum.Don't tell be this is wrong and you can actually move the bezel from the 12 O'clock marker. If this is true and have proof the bezel can be moved they do say you learn something different every day.

I use it for everything!

Off the top of my head, the top 3 situations to use the bezel is to time my runs, time cooking and testing related work at the office.

I got no idea what you are all talking about. I think your saying moving the arrow past a certain given time. E.G., if it is 1:15, and you wAnt to be alerted in 30 minute, you move the arrow to 1:45, correct.?..you can only alert yourself within the hour.
I’m not even thinking , how you peg the date, must be the first 31 minutes , I guess
I’m a little slow.....that’s why I also have a Chrono I guess, and have a date complication on the Sub C..am I close.

Hell!..just moved my bezel more than a gnats cock, off of 12 o'clock, and
yep!...she exploded!
Found all the bits though.
Thank god I haven't got PCL's.

+1
I very often move almost unconsciously the arrow at 12 and in the very same moment I realize, that I'm just in between measuring some time period.

Yeah date wise you just put the pearl on the minute mark of the date, today you would have it on minute 14
