Seiko Prospex limited edition Gundam edition

Celebrating the 40th anniversary, Seiko is releasing a Gundam version, limited to 300 pieces.

Not a big fan of the others, but I really love the GMT RX-78-2!!

They are about 400,000Y to 630,000Y

Does it use the Springdrive movement? If so it's not a bad price. Very nice looking, more for the Eastern market imo, I would buy one.

Yes, Spring Drive indicated on the dial at 6 o’clock. Somewhere else I saw this edition was limited to 30 pieces…

Well considering where they are pricing those new Basel '19 LX watches, it's right on par. What Japanese retailers will sell these, does anyone know?

Looks great, but is it an official Seiko- Gundam Bandai colaboration?

Shopping In Japan is apparently getting three of the RX-78-2s, two are accounted for, and they are priced at a whopping, $7286, already more than the MSRP. It's a pre-order right now, have to pay full price up front, not only a deposit, with the listed release date of, 8/9/2019.

The more I think about it the more I like this type of collaboration. I think all the watches look great and am especially attracted to the GMT.

Gundam and Seiko work really well; I think this series of watches will sell out and go for huge premiums.

Heck whether Rolex likes it or not many fans have already nicknamed watches in the Rolex lineup after superheros.

I like it, I really more so like the new SBDX027 tuna style maroon dial/bezel/strap combo.
