I had the same issue with mine and then sucked it up and got the 1.5 link, made all the difference in the world for my wrist. It should have already came with the watch in my opinion so I don't have to go out of my way sit in a sad empty boutique and watch the SA put it on incorrectly in front me. Watch fits great now but glad I got it over with.

It does at first, but once you "break it in" with scratches that go along with the other links it blends in with the rest of bracelet and you kind of forget about it.

I think it's backwards in these pics before it was corrected.

I’ve been having a heck of a time with the weather fluctuations this year in the NYC area. It really affects the size of my wrist. Maybe once it gets warmer out slim a more consistent basis, it will fit better with the extra link?

I put it on gray rubber this weekend. So much better. You purists won’t like it. But I love it.

Pics to follow.

Looks comfortable and grey works as far as I’m concerned. Black of course will be most obvious but got to have some fun.

I think the rubber strap works well with 15400. Look really nice at least in your pictures

Looks great. I may well put my 15300 on rubber. I’m no purist!

Looks great on the AP rubber strap.

Personally, I love the bracelet, and it is an iconic part of a Royal Oak. If I only had a 15500, 15400, or 15300, I’d still get the rubber as well to switch it up sometimes. Or if I had one of these along with my Jumbo, I’d keep it on rubber since I have the bracelet to enjoy on my Jumbo.

I got lucky.

They gave me the set up at no cost. At first they told me they were going to give me only the rubber piece.

But when I arrived and was ready to pay, they told me they were gifting it to me.

nice. I've been meaning to get black rubber for my 15400, but just haven't got around to doing it. Looks great.

Get a 1.5 link, that was the only way I could get a 15400 to fit right.

1.5 link makes all the difference in the world. I don't mind the look at all. And no one other than me will ever notice it...

Thanks everyone.

It’s a whole new watch to me.

Personally, I find the RO bracelet beautiful. But unforgiving and not flexible. This to me makes the watch a pleasure to wear.

Now I just need to find my old 15400 in silver and get it back on a blue rubber strap. That would be one heck of a pair.

I like your AP RO on the gray strap! I like the way that the strap integrates with the watch. Enjoy it.

My weight fluctuates and my bracelets need adjustments. Fortunately, I am losing weight, going in the right direction.

Rubber, leather, etc are more forgiving. I like the glide lock on my Subs, though.

Hi, you made a good decision

I’m also thinking of getting a rubber strap for my 15500. Went to AP service center and was told there are only 2 rubber straps for 15500 - navy blue and brownish grey. Only deployant option.

Are you offered more color and buckle choices?

It will soften up and get a lot more flexible over time. My 15400 is very flexible and comfy 4 years in.
