The light blue accents are a little girly in my opinion and the dark blue is beautiful!

I never had any interest in the yachtmaster until I saw the blue " in the metal".
Both my wife and I instantly thought to purchase it . The AD had a rhodium dial . When we compared the two the blue so much nicer . It just popped out .

Same but different :) I was about to pull the trigger on the blue dial but when I saw the Rhodium in hand it was a no brainer for me.

Now it’s worth 3 times the retail as it’s discontinued

I must admit that it no longer holds the alure that it first did ten years ago. I was really interested in the PM models on OF bracelets as well. Finally I ended up with the Rhodium (now Steel, no Rhodium on the Rolex website anymore. Has there been a dial change? I like the darker grey). I find no issue with the dial's legibility on the Rhodium and just love the watch. It's great that it takes so well to aftermarket straps and love it on Rubber!!! The blue on dark grey is so subtlely striking as well!!! In truth there is no loser in the three SS/Pt models. They're all great, beautiful watches!!!

Would lead me to assume (though, we all know assumptions can be foolish), that they have gone for a more muted dial, with less of a sunburst effect. It would also be cheaper for Rolex, because Rhodium ain't cheap. Rhodium dial YM 40's about to shoot up on Chrono

Indeed it looks like they no longer call it Rhodium but Slate. This is probably because the dial is not rhodium but brass painted in rhodium colour, so technically I guess they shouldn't be calling it rhodium in the same way their champagne dial is not called gold? Stunning colour whatever they decide to name it.

Yes indeed although with the older gold Dial Daytona's for example it was gold before the name change to champagne and the previous Yacht-Master had a platinum dial so I was wondering if they changed the manufacturing process for the Rhodium hence the name change.
