Buying from Gray Market Guide?

So I decided to pull the trigger and had to go Gray. What are your tips when dealing with a gray dealer.

Here are some concerns:
  1. Being 100% Authentic
  2. Getting a Stolen Watch
  3. Wiring Funds and not receiving anything
  4. Not being responsive in case a problem arrives.

Anyone has bought from Sant Blanc on Ebay? John also sells cheaper through his website.

Please advice.

What do you know about that seller?
Is cheap your criteria?

Seems to have a decent history on eBay. What do you mean by cheap being my criteria?

@edisonstar23
Why not buy from a trusted gray seller here on the forum?
I've done business with 3 gray sellers on this forum without issue whatsoever.

Not opposed to working with any of the dealers here. How did you do your due diligence in making sure you guys got an authentic one

Sorry if I misread, it seems you are looking for a price point

I did my due diligence by reading about the gray sellers feedback, checking with several other buyers that had current dealings with them to make sure the gray dealers phone#, email and location address was the same they used to communicate with the seller, as well as contacting the sellers by email & phone.

As far as knowing I received a genuine Rolex from the gray dealers I've dealt with, I'll admit that I never sent the pieces to Rolex or had an AD authenticate any of them because I didn't want them to be opened being they were new and I already had the confidence of buying from these gray dealers which was enough for me. After all, why do you think the Rolex cases in the AD's are empty?

I've sold off and traded 2 of the 3 pieces I bought from grays and never had an issue with either another gray or AD claiming they were not genuine. I guess if you're not comfortable that you'll receive a genuine Rolex you can alway send it Rolex or have your AD open it and take a look, but if it's that good of a knock off I doubt your AD could tell the difference by just opening the case back.

100%

It’s worth spending a little more to avoid every single issue that was listed
