Seiko 5 experts

I was wondering if there are any Seiko 5 experts here, I have one Seiko 5 with an interesting dial that I would love to get some more info on…also interested in knowing when they switched from plexi to Hardlex…

A photo, the reference number and serial number would be helpful. Seiko 5 has been around since the 1960s.

Okay, here we go…any insights on this lovely off white/faded salmon dialed Seiko 5 with plexi crystal? Would love to hear details on this one…never seem a similar one…

Ref and serial?

Can't tell much without those numbers, except that it has a 7009 movement and was made in the Daini factory. Will be 1970s or 80s.

and the serial number?

Ref 7009-3040 is a common one and seemingly came with a variety of dials over the years.

In case you didn't already know, you can probably quickset the day by pressing down on the crown.
