Finally! DSSD!!!
After months of lusting after this watch, I finally made the move. I was able to work out a trade with Carey here on the forum. I had to trade my beloved 1675, but oh well. Gotta pay to play.
I am simply BLOWN AWAY by this watch. I have neard numberous complaints about it being to big, but I have to say that the watch is PERFECT for me. I'm a pretty big guy (6'3'', 240lbs), so big watches are appealing to me. I had a PAM 24 a few years ago but eventually went back to Rolex. I own a PAM 88 now as well and the 44m size is appealing. I like the look of Rolex a bit better but prefer the size of the PAM. The DSSD combines the preferable size AND style...and WOW! Just perfect for me. Here are some other observations: 1) The dome saphhire crystal is simply awesome. Gives the watch a bit of a vintage look. 2) I was amazed by the upgrades to the GMT IIc, but this DSSD takes it up even a notch further (the domed crystal, the ceramic bezel with 120 clicks, the unbelievable adjustable bracelet, the clasp, the blue lume). 3) The watch wears surprisingly light. I seriously don't even notice a difference between it and my 1675. 4) I just got the watch a couple of days ago and have already received numerous compliments on it. That rarely happened before with any other of my sport models. 5) Everything about the watch just screams "quality". The "feel" of the watch is superior to any Rolex I have ever come across.

Congratulations on getting a DSSD, and wear it in good health.
The writing on the ringlock is not as noticeable as it is in pics. Speaking of pics when can we expect to see one? |

I'm glad your transaction went through, doc. I saw that you were selling your excellent 1675.
Looking forward to pics of the bad boy. |
