PCL convert!

Was never a fan of PCL's in pics but after picking up a BLNR I have a new appreciation for them. In the right light they really come to life and IMO ultimately completes the package, also will be an easier transition to PM down the line

I still think full brushed looks best on sub / sd's and the like but PCL's have their place too

Agreed. I was the same before acquiring my Milgauss. Now she's got some scratches on her, and honestly, looks even better.

PCL's look nice when new, not sure am ready to buy a watch with PCL's due to how prone they are to scratches.

I agree that PCLs can look great. PCL or BCL, it all comes down to personal preference.

I felt the same way was thinking of swapping my Sub-C's bracelet but when I got it WOW loved those PCL's and have decided not to switch. It is really a beautiful watch.

When I picked up my Daytona, I had all kinds of angst about the PCLs before acquiring the first scratch. Now, I appreciate the change in looks from my subs/SDs when I wear it. The scratches are what makes it mine , and signs of me living my life in that watch. That's the good stuff right there. Enjoy the watch, she's a looker!

I agree.
I used to think about putting a Sub bracelet on my BLNR but I'm glad I didn't.
PCLs are absolutely perfect on that watch!

PCL's look like crap once they get scratched. I prefer all brushed.

PCL's don't look so great scratched up...if the watch is sitting static in an AD display case with flood lights pointed at it. Other than that, they look fantastic on a living, breathing watch wearer.

Didn't care for pcl till I got my dd. Love pcl now and I wear my watches carefully so not to worry about scratches.

I am not a fan of PCL's at ALL....I think brushed looks considerably better on pretty much every ref. out there with the exception of either PM refs or DJ's...and even in some cases with DJ's on oyster bracelet's the brushed still looks better but at the same time some DJ's are a bit flashier than others and feel IMO that PCL's do in fact fit the look better...One of the reasons I went with the new 39mm OP I just picked up with the silver rhodium dial was mainly because the oyster bracelet has brushed center's and looks SUPERB. Couldn't be happier with my choice.

Pics looks great. As for scratches, as they say the score is worth the stretch.

I very much like PCL's. I think they dress up a sports watch just enough to make it look great with long sleeves. Do they show scratches a bit? Yes, but it's well worth the look!

I go back and forth...generally prefer the brushed. But from time to time I'll want the PCLs on the GMT, which is why I have one of each bracelet for it. If the mood hits, I'll put the PCL back on. Usually only lasts a day or so...

Glad you are enjoying yours!

PCLs look great.

And if people are so worried about scratches, why don't they scratch (brush as they say) all shiny areas?

x2. It's a matter of personal preference and statement. I prefer an understated look, and went with the SD4K. It's too bad Rolex didn't choose to furnish the SD4K with a matted ceramic bezel to match the dial.
