I don't really think the watch was targeted to anyone in particular. They wanted a new twist in the GMT and they did it. I am sure they knew sales would be robust, given its novelty in the recent era.

Propaganda. He’s not. He punched me repeatedly with his right when I asked him to get on the list.

They couldn’t deliver on the current catalog sku’s so let’s add a totally new watch requiring new parts, tooling and and and?

I don’t know. But you could be right.

I think making existing customers happy with their long waits on their keystone models would make more sense.

Regardless of why they made it, I think it’s ugly and it gives me a headache.

Mis dos centavos, I'm a rightie who finds this watch interesting (I like green) and would wear it on my right wrist just because it's different.

I think it's a lazy gimmick. They threw an idea at the wall and in this market, it stuck. IMO, they could design anything, and folks would find an excuse to want it because most can't have it.

The pearl clutching in here due to a date window moving from 3 to 9 is hilarious.

I love mine on jubilee. As a lefty whose favorite color is green it was a no brainer. It’s my favorite watch.

I think it’s lazy, but it’s fine. It’s better than just getting another GMT in green. LOL.

Regardless of intent or design purpose.....

No way to statically measure this but I would bet....

90% percent of the VTNR owners are right handed and wear on the left hand. Which not coincidently is the same percentage of rightys to southpaws.

I'm right handed and bought my LHD without a thought of drive direction. I loved the aesthetic of the watch more than the other two. I doubly love how it doesn't catch on my suit coat and it's become second nature to wind it upside down.

I'd buy a VTNR on Jubilee if offered.

What's interesting is I saw my first one in the flesh when I was wife not long ago at a local horological event. I showed my wife the watch and exuberantly asked her the following:

Me- Check out this new Rolex, can you spot the huge difference between my BLNR?

Her- Um..Yeah. It's green Einstein.

Me- Oh yeah, there is that. I mean the BIG difference?

Her- The bracelet is fancier?

Me- Well...Ok...Ya. I guess there is that too. But I mean the HUGE difference?

Her- (staring intently for a few moments)- No F*** Idea. Can we get a drink please?

It was, let's say, a moment of perspective.

Yeah, true that. At least they took that extra step. Curious what this spring will bring from the design department.

As ever you're on to it chewie. If I didn't know better I'd say you were on the design team pitching this concept......

I follow a contrarian cerebral approach to Rolex initiatives. They speak in code and can’t show fear.

But I’m not buying this whole we made it for LH people thing, alone
Interesting take. I had not thought of that viewpoint, but I think there is something to your speculation. There may be a segment of the market that would be interested in double wristing new tech smart and old tech mechanical. I'm not one of them. I'm a right wrist wearing lefty, and I've been all in with this VTNR piece from the intro. I have not yet been attracted to smart watches. I'm 70 years old and mechanical timepieces do me just fine.

I‘ll go with the explanation that the CEO is left handed and wanted to release something unusual.

I'll go with it was the only new model they could introduce while only producing two new parts: the dial and the date wheel.

Bracelet, clasp (reverse installation), case, bezel, movement should all be the same as RHD?
Anyone confirm?

Make a new dial. Make a new date wheel (flip the numbers upside down). Done.

I'm right handed. I would not pursue one, nor would I turn one down if AD offered!

My right wrist has my Apple watch, for notifications, reminding me when I'm having a heart attack, etc. I am eager for that to be reduced down to ring size soon.
