Righties who wear on their right

As I mentioned in a previous thread, I had shoulder surgery several weeks ago and my left arm has been stuck in a sling. As a result, I've been wearing my watches on my right wrist. Well, after almost 6 weeks of this, I've become rather fond of it on my right wrist. Now that it's time to lose the sling, I think I just may just continue wearing on my right wrist. I like how the crown doesn't dig into the back of my wrist like this.

Are there many other right handed people who also wear on there right wrist?

Both my wife and I are right handed and wear our watches on the right wrist. Been doing it since I started wearing watches.

I do on occasion wear a watch on both wrists if I go somewhere photogenic so I can quickly take pics for my TRF brothers but otherwise I wouldn't wear it on my right, I don't like the crown or pushers going up my wrist and my awareness is far worse.

I’ve tried it a few times; but it always ends as a novelty...Messes with my strumming.

good point, my right wouldn't be used to the wrist awareness the left has.

Agreed funny also as the pick or strumming hand is dominate but the dexterity is in opposite hand when playing guitar

Wearing watch on opposite hand is like writing with opposite hand. Feels very wrong but guess it is all relative to what you are used to.

Had surgery on my left wrist about five years ago and had to make the transition to the right.

Had my left hand and arm injured 14 years ago when I moved my watch to the right wrist. Recovery took 6 months but the watch stayed on my right wrist to this day.

You will not be alone, Steve McQueen wore his 5512 Sub on his right wrist.

Yep, right handed and have always worn my watches on my right wrist as far asi can remember.

Somehow it just felt natural to me.

Putin wears watch on the right wrist (he is right handed), because crown doesn't dig on his right wrist. So do some of Russian government and oligarchs copying him.

I have always worn my watches on my left wrist. Being right handed I do many many more things with my right hand exclusively. I cant think of how much desk diving incidents I would have if I wore it on my dominant hand, let alone the wrist awareness issues.

That surprises me, because you’d think KGB guys would wear the watch high and tight, where the crown usually isn’t an issue.

Not sure if this counts, yet wear a mechanical timepiece on the traditional left, yet do wear a wrist computer/phone on the right for many years (Samsung Galaxy Frontier with 4G nowadays). This setup works great for time/date/month with the SS SkyD / DD40 / Sub / 'tona / etc, while the phone/computer handles appts, phone, messaging, health tracking, etc.
