If I may say, that’s like asking “what car should I drive?” What’s your lifestyle? Would you wear it at work or just when going out? What do you like? Have you narrowed down to a couple to choose from?

Or do you just want to have a Rolex?

One and done, not a lifetime of trading up and longing. I would buy a DD 40 Platinum with the icy blue Romans dial and never look back. Problems solved.

A Steel diver or a DJ.
If you’re a casual guy go Diver.
If more chic go DJ.

Thats so individual, some do well with a YG Daytona, others need a sub to bang around, some like understatement and prefer a date just or a platinum DD or Explorer 1.
I love a GMT for the second time zone and having a date is quite useful to me.
But a 36mm Datejust in black or blue and a little math (or smartphone) goes a long way.

A lot of different suggestions. Confused yet?

I have this conversation often with friends who notice my watches and then want a Rolex for themselves.

If only one, then choose what fits your lifestyle best. Also, not all models are particularly easy to buy, unless you are willing to pay a premium.

Some questions to consider; Which model do you like? What's your budget? What do you do for a living? What's your dress style? What do you do for fun?

My personal choice would be 116710LN.

Completely agree. I’d also have a black rubber strap as a backup when I wanted to dress it down or wear on hot summer days.

Really the best one Rolex to own is the one YOU choose to put on your wrist and call it a day.

It’s whatever Rolex you personally could wear with most outfits.
I wear my DJ41 with everything: suit, tuxedo, t-shirt and jeans. Some people like the sub and wear it with the same outfits, personally, I wouldn’t. So it comes down to you.
