Incoming - car content!
Just WOW!!
Flew up to Atlanta early Saturday morning to pick up our C8, and it is everything I could have wanted and more. Don't have the funds for an exotic, but this more than meets our needs - and it's paid off too, so it's all ours. 2LT hardtop convertible, GT2 seats. No side shots until the Vossen HF-5's are installed tomorrow, though I couldn't wait to share with you guys. Grabbed lunch with a few other C8 folks before the 9 hour drive home on Saturday, and took our son for a ride on Sunday. "Dad, my face won't stop smiling"...that alone made it all worth it. More pics to come once the wheel are on!

NO DUDE! You can't own a Corvette.
You are too young. You are not wearing any gold chains. You don't appear to be wearing a NASCAR shirt or hat. LOL, I keed, I'm makin' fun. I bought my first Corvette (new) at 30. I heard those "gold chain" jokes for many years. Great color choice too! Enjoy it.

Michael - does a silver chain count? I'm 37 going on 38, and I know I'm not the normal demographic (Asian too, if you couldn't tell) that GM usually caters to. But the C8 has been a total game-changer for them, and I think everyone can see why.

I'm not sure that GM really caters to any particular group other than those people who are willing to spend money on their vehicles. It just happens that most people who can afford to buy a new Corvette and pay for the insurance tend to be older. No disputing that the C8 is a game changer. I didn't consider one because they are as difficult to get as a Submariner, and it's missing a pedal. Oh - and for anyone that thinks I'm a snob (or whatever) because I currently have a BMW, I would like to let you know that I've owned 5 that's right 5 Corvettes, from C4 to C7.

Finally.
Tell your production crew to put away the still cameras and get out the video equipment. By the look on your sons face, you better get used to sitting in the passenger seat.

Hope you got a GREAT discount, they built it with the steering wheel on the wrong side of the car!!!
J/K. Congrats! Hopes there's a local track to open her up and fun in the twisties.

Congrats. Don’t remember when you first mentioned putting down the deposit, but this seems like a faster than expected incoming. Enjoy!

My deposit story: 1.) December 2020. Deposit #1 at a small, local dealership. 2.) January 2021. Deposit #2 at a top 7 Corvette mover in Tampa. 3.) March 2021. Deposit #3 at Rick Hendrick Duluth, after reading about them in the Corvette Forums. Guess who actually came through? Never heard from #1 and #2 before I got an allocation at RHD, so got my money back there. From deposit to delivery, it was 6 months - which isn't bad for the C8, especially at MSRP. The bad thing is that RHD has now decided to move to the over-MSRP game, which is terrible timing IMO. Not only did they lose their lead Corvette specialist, but I think they're a few months behind the curve, as supply slowly catches up to demand. If they were going to do it, they should have done it months ago. I'm just happy to have my car though!!

That last pic is precious. I have a similar one with my son in a booster seat for his first 911 Targa ride. Cars come and go but those moments are priceless.
