Had to do it, 5513, 1.8mil serial, meters first...Incoming
I posted this when I got photos and saw it today and well, couldn’t pass it up.
Original owner was an engineer who wore it his whole life til he passed. His daughter wasn’t a watch person & parted with it. I’m pretty over the moon with it. Honest examples are getting exceedingly hard to find and feels good to get one that has never been on the market before. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

If you can tell us without violating anyone’s privacy, how did you and the seller come together? I see mention of some details above, but didn’t see anything in your past posts. I’m just curious what route his daughter took to sell.

Thanks everyone, I’m thrilled with it and wasn’t necessarily looking for a 5513, but I couldn’t not get this (apologies for the double negative) as the condition, provenance and kit combination was something that is just rare to come across.
I would prefer to keep the sale particular details private as requested by the seller but everyone left smiling. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I do understand the double negative. It is truly a rare situation that someone kept all the extra little papers to document the watch. Sure understand the daughter’s reluctance to divulge details. - but as a memorial to her Dad, perhaps she would share with you some legacy/history in his honor and as respect for leaving this to her. The dial and hands have such great and even patina that one can hardly find faults in them. Great find. Congrats!

Thanks Adinva^^ That was a large component of what I love on it, such even patina across the hands, lume and pip. It's far from NOS or mint, but is original crispy and just perfect to me.

Incredible example! How does an insert stay so pristine after so many years of use? Must have not been worn too much or maybe tucked away many years ago after a period of use...

What a great find!! Did you know the seller's family, or was just random?
