Vintage 1503 Real or Fake

I have the opportunity to purchase this 1503. It is coming from someone without a lot of knowledge on Rolex and didn't even know the ref number.

Something strikes me as odd about the dial. The way "ROLEX" is written below the coronet. The Coronet itself looks painted on. Also the letters at the bottom look a little wide (kerning). Even the word "Date"
The endlinks on the back of the case aren't shaped like typical Rolex end links.

BUT I am not well versed in 1500s enough to make the decision on my own.

Anyone out there who can shed some light on this.. real or fake?

Thoughts?

Just wanted to make sure. Not to mention the seller has gone radio silent on me once I asked for better pictures

Seriously, even if real, which clearly it isn’t, who would want to buy that?

Super fake. But your instincts are right on track with what you are seeing as incorrect on the dial.
