First Omega ...
Just got my first Omega today. Purchased a used triple date Speedmaster. I purchased it on eBay and was anxious because the description was vague. Not deceptively vague, but I "don't know what I have" vague. The pictures make it look new and after getting it I don't think it was ever used. I love it! I think I paid market value but given it is essentially new I think I got a good deal. Paid $1,850. The watch reminds me of a combination of the Rolex Daytona and the Patek Phillippe perpetual calendar - for a fraction of the price!
The watch came with a press on watch back, instead of teh more common screw on. Not sure this makes it a cheaper Speedmaster. It is the two-tone version, which do not seem to be as popular as the all steel versions. Let me know what you think. |

I had one of those and liked it very much. Mine was the SS version on bracelet. It has wonderful proportion. Very cool set of complications, too. Congrats
Ironically, I was wearing a different Omega today - and coincidentally it was my first Omega I got 50+ years ago... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
