Buying a 1675 or later model
Hi
I'm thinking of buying a rolex gmt 1675 or the gmt 16700 model. i prefer the jubilee-band. has anyone any recommendations? which is nicer? has more style? better movement .... thanks! |

Welcome to TRF!
I'd go with a 1675 or a 16750 on jubilee! |

If the 1675, there are lots of variations in them like the normal and gilt 1675's etc. which vary in desireability and prices. Do your reasearch by viewing past threads and asking here and see which appeal to you. Maybe even ask for pictures of the various variations and the guys here will be more than willing to post pics:). Must say the normal 1675 is the best value for money amongst them if you don't consider factors like rarity, uniqueness, etc in the other variations.

Looks good but note the corrosion on the minute hand.

Yes he is.
As to your original question, it really depends on what you want out of the watch. If a true vintage piece the 1675 is really the only choice. If a more modern fast beat movement and quick-set date are important the 16700 is for you. |
