Vintage color Dial ???
Hi, I was wondering if anyone can explain,,, What's happening with tritium, because the show clocks get a different color, type, cream? I am also a friend has same clock, 1680 Submariner. He is white, my cream or light nougat. Both watches are from 1977. Could it be just, light years???? What do or do you know? Thanks
Regards Paradis

There are many theories on why patina occurs. No one really knows with 100% accuracy why two watches will age so differently. One if the intriguing things I love about vintage.

Typically, patina is more prone to develop in watches that are not regularly worn. It seems to be that sunlight bleaches the tritium, therefore, most watches from the same time period when worn on a daily basis will have less patina than others that are "safe-queens".

Beautiful watch, you should try and find a bezel insert and pearl to match the perfect creamy patina on the dial
