Wanting to buy a 1608
I have a model picked out.. Is there is a list of questions I need to ask to make sure I'm getting the correct watch?
Also what does it cost to service a watch like that? Thanks Tom

It can be as much as $1,500 if you use and expert like Bob Ridley.
Make sure you post pictures as you want to make sure you have an orginal dial, hands and the lugs and CG are not over polished, etc....I would also want a watchmaker to open it up and check for case rot, service markings, etc.. Be careful and good luck |

Hi, yes check it 100%, also late again. Small mistakes you do not see, then costs a fortune. Good luc

It's all about the example you are trying to purchase, check out how the lower crown guard is way polished past the upper guard....
I also like to check the lugs and make sure you can't see the end of the pins, another tell-tale sign of being over polished.... |
