Anyone know anything about my Oyster Perpetual dial
Here is a picture.
Anyone know anything about it? Time period and such? It is going in my 1960 1003 case with a 1560 movement. I love the way it looks. Just wish the watch was a bit bigger. Doesn't really matter though because I have a small wrist. It measures 6" around, so it doesn't really look too small. |

Looks '80's to me. In your '60's watch it would be kinda like playing your Sargent Peppers album and inserting a Michael Bolton song in the middle...
IMHO of course, Bill |

IIRC, "T Swiss T" was used starting around 1960 and used for quite a while - well into the 80's (?). Given that span, your dial could be from 1960, but is more likely later.
If you like the dial, I say use it and enjoy. Many watches of 1960 vintage will have had a later service dial installed during service anyway.
