You get what you pay for people.

If you like it that’s what matters but an enthusiast watch it is not.
It’s A QUARTZ TIMEX...
Actually, what’s being displayed here about the Q is what being a watch enthusiast is truly all about.

I placed my order on the 17th and today it was still showing "Being Processed" on the Status, I just canceled it , I ordered it knowing it was going to be small and ending up in the drawer, so I'd better use that $$ to fund part of the Seiko Arnie I want as a beater.

It's a 12 hour bezel not a GMT bezel. Doesn't need an extra hand. The Seiko like window is much more discrete than that banner format Rolex uses, and can be found on many fine Grand Seiko pieces. Other than that, it's just a cool looking watch for people who 'get it'. Real watch guys.

So if a watch enthusiast likes the watch, is it still not an enthusiast watch?

I just received my Q Timex Re-Issue and this thing is fabulous! Yes, it's a quartz Timex. So what? It's a funky fresh retro throwback copy of their own watch from the '70s, and true watch lovers and many enthusiasts will appreciate it for what it is. There's something very refreshing and charming about it. It's especially appealing to vintage lovers (the 38mm size is perfect) and guys who grew up in the '70s, like me. There's a reason this watch keeps selling out and is (relatively) tough to get.

Red and blue bezels don't need to be only GMT bezels, and Seiko did not invent that day/date window. Man, Timex has been making watches since 1854. They know a thing or two about mass-produced timepieces.

Yea I am really enjoying this watch so far. My only quartz and being extremely affordable lets me wear it stress free. My wife says it looks cheap though..

I bought a couple when they were first released. They’re great watches for what they are! At least, I think they are. Still living in the boxes untouched.

If my wife said that I'd take it as a get out of jail free card for any other vastly more expensive incoming. "Honey, but you said this one looks cheap..."

I showed mine to my wife. She said, "Ohhhh I love it! Is it adjustable so I can wear it?"

I said no.

So this was waiting in my mailbox after chatting with Timex customer service about why my watch never shipped after ordering it on 9/17. Turns out they had a glitch in their systems due to large number of orders that day.

Watch arrived perfect with plastic wrap once around the crystal, the case and on the band. There was a spacer holding the crown. I’m surprised how nice the watch looks in person with the Pepsi bezel and blue dial. The colors are very muted and certainly has the full retro vibe going on. The watch wears very well at 38mm.

Some people mentioned about the Seiko day date. It turns out that the Q uses a Seiko movement (PC33) according to Hodinkee. Overall I think Timex really nailed it with this reissue.

Take a look on Todd Snyder. They should have some left in stock.
