My Black Rose runs well within COSC. These movements are modified and are quite impressive. 80’s Submariner’s that sell for $12k now used the same type of movement. There’s no escaping the fact that this watch will be collected and continue to gain value quickly. It’s an anomaly. An actual Rolex related product that had a few thousand made... Big money, buy one when you see one.

Just saw one with the eta movement in leather configuration with the red bezel in Vegas a few weeks ago selling at retail at the bellagio. Crazy to pay premium for that!

Red and Blue bezels are easily found in stores to this day. Black, not so much.

Yes no one sees the movement and the dial is better. As far as movements go ETA does not detract from future value. Look at older Tudor Submariners selling for a fortune. They have run of the mill and ETA movements.

It's not special. Not at all. It's a watch that few wanted. That through the power of marketing, branding and generally daft watch-hysteria is now a 'must have' for some strange reason...
I sold mine with no regret.

$$$ value is destroying this once fabulous hobby.

No different than the LVC though. A year ago these were all over the boards selling for reasonable prices. Then rumours of it being discontinued surfaced and all of a sudden everyone NEEDS to have that one in their watchbox as well.

I was referring to ETA vs in House. That said your photo alone is worth the post. I think the days of collecting all 3 are dwindling. Getting the red is even getting harder. There are a million blues out there. And of course Black is impossible or a fortune.

Hopefully I'll be able to head down my local AD this weekend and check out the Ranger!

Was looking through the "Ranger" thread and it is definitely growing on me as well.

eBay listing prices are out of whack. I’d rather quote the winning bid price as market rate.

I know I brought it up but this place is a bad influence. I’m trying to find a 2nd black bezel, and that Ranger has been calling my name too. I’m sure the Rose logo will be permanently gone from Tudor watches so of course I’m drawn to 🌹.

The difference is those sub’s are made in the millions. These prices are getting crazy. I think $5,000 will be the norm. $8000 is years away in my opinion, I could be wrong though.

Few wanted?

Tudor built their entire American come back on the back of the success of the Black Bay. Sounds like sour grapes.

Did you get the leather straps as well? I haven’t been a fan of the blue but I think the blue may look great on a leather strap. It could change my opinion.

I got all of mine on bracelet. With all of the strap manufacturers out there I figured I would go that route when I want to switch things up. The blue would look great on a cognac/ tan strap. There's a few pics in the Black Bay thread with this combo and it looks awesome!

Don’t buy into hype, a modern Tudor inflated 200% to Sub money? Just don’t.

I thought fake lume was frowned at.

How is it sour grapes? I don't miss it, struggled to sell it and it kept terrible time.

This is all pure hype and the bubble will burst sometime...

Please elaborate?

Tudor uses fake lume?

Not all AD's are making false claims about the watch being collectible. I had an AD ask me about the popularity of the Tudor BBNoir watches. He told me that he has multiple calls most days from prospective buyers for the watch.
