Please help legit check this watch!

Hi all,

I'll start off by saying I'm a total noob with watches and need some help checking the authenticity of this watch.
Received it as a farewell gift from someone who has no idea/interest in watches.

I understand that it has a lot of flaws/scratches from the way I've been handling this watch for the past few years. Also stopped working, which means it might need a technician to fix if it's real.

Please don't be too quick to judge "fake," unless it's very very obvious, because I'll probably be throwing this watch away if it's fake.

Unfortunately, it is a very obvious fake.
You can safely toss it in the bin.

Gotta make sure someone else doesn't take it/try to sell it as real. More fakes destroyed, the better.

That would be the sensible answer.

I just like to see them smashed.

"Someone who has no idea/interest in watches"

Curious how that convo went when he/she gave it to you. "Hey, I have no idea what a Rolex is, here you go!"

Pretend you are LeBron and slam dunk it, as you facilitate the disposal of horological sputnik waste cheese dip.

Daytona must be easy to win, and prizes easy to pawn.

I count 32,349 ‘legit’ checks on this Rolex edition.

The jaunty angle of the 11 and 6 o'clock indices are a nice touch. As for the 4 o'clock marker. Who knows where that went.

I'm guessing the 'R' on the lug stands for Replica.

Is it in the trash already? Do everyone a favour.
