SBGW289 Landed
AD called over the weekend to let me know the SBGW289 came in and was available for pickup. I've been following the releases on various forums and began seeing arrivals in Europe and then the US so I was hopeful it was on the way.
Overall I'm absolutely thrilled with it, it's as stunning in person as I'd hoped. I've never owned a vintage GS before so I've never seen a traditionally sized 44GS case, but this one in 36.5 mm might be my new favorite. The sizing and feel on the wrist is wonderful, I can't quit staring at it. As far as the dial color, the GS website, as usual, over saturated the pink color significantly. This one is similar to the SBGA413 in that it appears much lighter in some lights and only subtly pink in others. Below I've included an overcast wrist shot along with one in direct sunlight to show the contrast. Highly recommend this one to anyone that's on the fence, it's really something in the flesh.
