One of my favorite Rolex’s, I think it’s a very unique and interesting Rolex that they need to try more often

It’s not that blocky super case issue you sometimes see at the lugs. Rolex also rounds the sides of the case into your wrist continuing that organic look that doesn’t make the watch look big. As stupid as this sounds, it’s as if Rolex was taking design cues from a elegant sailboat keeping the case lines graceful with the Yachtmaster line. The DSSD/Sub squared off super case is more utilitarian and sport looking in comparison. It’s a nice contrasting attitude Rolex brings out in how they machine their cases. This may be lost on some but the watch nerds will see this.

I am use to large watches but this watch being a big 44mm is as comfortable as my 40mm Rolex watches. I was expecting it wear maybe closer to my DSSD JC but it is closer to a Sub. I feel like I am getting away with something with this watch as I had issues with my SD43 and it was very uncomfortable even after several link swaps, etc....
This extra comfort on the wrist now makes it one of my favorites to take on extended vacations where I only will have one watch for everything. It does have the new Rolex bracelet squeak we find endearing while it lasts. But under my winter coats or long sleeve dress shirts are not a issue at all. The watch disappears on the wrist and as you know when it does that, it’s comfortable.

Hard to show in just one pic.

Nice review Mystro, beautiful piece . I've been eyeing this YM II for while, but I am concerned about the size 44mm on my 7 inch wrist. Can you share what size is your wrist?

Congratulations, looks like some real wrist presence with an interesting and rare complication to boot. Wear it in good health.

My wrist is just under 7 inches and it wears smaller than its dimensions suggest. The YM2 is also a whole lot more comfortable than the SD43mm.

Nice watch. Personally I just can’t take the big name on the bezel.

Thanks for the pics and review.

Its very satisfying to read as a yacht master 2 owner..its was my first rolex and I plunged on it because I couldn't get anything else at an ad.

It was a risk as I loved it, but not being rich, needed it to hold value in case something ever happened financially.

At first I loved it, and knew it was never an investment, but held most of its money.

In the past month I have seen its grey market value go up a lot, 13 percent or so.

I would not, however, sell it I have concluded. Not just the risk of the relationship with my rolex dealer
But it is an incredible watch, you don't see many people wearing it.

In my job I might see a few pepsi's a week. Never seen another yacht master ii.

I've only ever seen it once in the wild, specifically in a grocery store. An old codger was wearing the TT YM2 as he was shopping with his family.
