Magnetized watch run fast?

If a watch gets magnetized, does it run fast?

My watch is running 5 minutes fast per day. I was wondering if this is due to being magnetized. How do you fix a fast watch?

Yes. It could be magnetized, try the Lepsi app, I have had pretty good luck with it. It's also possible that there is some oil or other foreign material in the hairspring. But since it's so fast and easy to demagnetize a watch without opening it, it's always worth a try. You can pick up a Chinese demagnetizer on eBay for peanuts. They work fine, just follow the instructions.
