Advice on Vintage Rolex Explorer 1016
Dear fellow Rolex lovers,
This is my very first post and I wanted to ask your help and expert opinions. I have the opportunity to buy this Explorer 1016 from 1967, cal.1570. The serial number does correspond to that year. To my eyes, this looks like a Matte Frog Foot Mark 1, Fat Numerals with White Printing. I am not an expert but I have tried to do a lot of reading on different web posts and done some basic homework on real vs fake examples. Does anything look “off” to you, (apart from the bracelet, of course)? Do you think it has been re-lumed? How can one tell if the crystal is original in these instances? Any other comments? Thank you very much in advance for your feedback, very much appreciated. Ps: Apologies for the all the links for the pics. I did not find any other way to upload my pics as it told me that the files were too large. I hope you can open them. Maybe someone can enlighten me on how to do it? I didn’t get the option to reduce the size of the pics when I tried to attach them. Thanks again! https://ibb.co/TBJ4yN3 https://ibb.co/DDdv0Cr https://ibb.co/M6c24rd https://ibb.co/TkjNrVV https://ibb.co/cQ9ZFJf https://ibb.co/yFddn3z https://ibb.co/cL4kq9S https://ibb.co/10m9fY0 https://ibb.co/fn4tP7y https://ibb.co/g9qLk6j https://ibb.co/TtVYnhQ |
