Omega aqua terra world timer

I am looking at this watch and very interested in buying it from a AD. My question for the masses is how is omega as a brand and aqua terra as a watch? I am unfamiliar with if it has a solid in house movement.

Also why are omegas on discount vs Rolex being increasing in value? Mainly curious to see what percentage discount I should shoot for

My husband considered one. For me it’s too large. Omega makes a wonderful watch. We have 3 between us. All three are extremely accurate. All three don’t seem to show wear. We both agree that our Omegas are better than our Rolexes. It’s just that grip that Rolex advertising has on buyers.

Omega make excellent watches with excellent movements. Their movements are arguably more technically advanced than Rolex’s. I would put build quality on par with Rolex. Maybe better, definitely not worse. You get a lot of value for your money with Omega.

I have one and it’s a great watch. I found it on Jomashop for $2.5K less than list but asked my AD if they could throw in the strap (in addition to the bracelet) in lieu of a discount. This helped me with my spend at AD who also sells Rolex, and it got me a hard to find blue Sky-Dweller the next week. Anyway, if you’re solely focused on price, check Jomashop periodically when they have a sale. While they are not an authorized retailer, their warranty is just as good.

Yeah the local ad said they will throw discount but not interested in other brands they have
