Is it safe to wear your Rolex in the south of France?

Turns out it was safe.

No. That is the first subassembly of the ITER vacuum vessel - weighs the equivalent of four fully loaded Boeing 747s - in place within the tokamak pit.

Cool pictures! Not worried about your GMT, given that apparently they get magnetized by MacBooks and AirPods? Although, 10 years until "first plasma"....

Pretty cool photo. I'd have been wearing a Milgauss however.

The main access point to LHC and the mailing address are in Switzerland.

Regardless, LHC isn't in the south of France, but rather in the Alps. I've briefly stopped by CERN (although not the LHC) and I've been to Grenoble too for several days.

I stand by my statement- good guess.

Superconducting electromagnets without an electrical current and that were physically far away were not a concern. Good thought though.
