Black submariner to save the date for the other sub colors and GMTs. Notice that Rolex never has another color for the submariner, only the sub date. It’s purposeful. Special watch.

I had to go with Date, my SD has a date but no cyclops... so it's close enough to a No-Date.

They only make one version of the submariner where as multiples of the submariner date.

If you’re going to go with a SS model - submariner
Anything other than a monochromatic look - submariner date

We need an option for "doesn't matter, they're both equally good"

I choose the Date

only in the "vintage" I prefer the classic (5513/14060)

Sub Date here. Originally I wanted the no date with the symmetry and all that, but my preference changed to Date after I realized how often I used the date function on my Invicta diver. Honestly though, I would have taken either, but the Date was offered to me first. You can’t go wrong either way!

The Sub is a a diver, even if not really used as such by most, and on top of that the symmetry of the No-Date is beautiful.

I don't mind the Date model but ultimately I'm a "No-Date" guy.

Back in the 1987 i wanted a Sub date,35 year later what do you think i gifted myself for my 50 anniversary?I understand the history behind the original concept of the Sub the dial symmetric and all those good thing, but for me it has to be black ,date and that funny Cyclops.

One year ago I would have said the no date version. But it was about that time that my AD called and offered me a date version. My first Sub and I couldn’t be happier. Excellent watch!

Looking at all these photos, I am convinced the 124060 and the 126610LV are the way to go. Can’t wait until my LV gets here.

Love the cyclops, one of Rolex design elements that from a style standpoint set them apart. A Sub without one looks weird to me.

So which is it you prefer to wear as you are out making history. That must be very exciting for you.

Do you mean the date IS useful or that you don't want the date because it isn't useful?

We’re in the second half of 2022. Submariner with the edge still.

Submariner.

I don't need the date when I'm scuba diving.

Shocked by how many people voted Submariner as I always thought the Submariner Date was the super popular one?
