50th Anniversary RO Incoming for the Wife

My wife's blue dial 50th Anniversary 15551st arrived. We made a day trip to the boutique to collect it today. The flight delays were a pain in the rear, but well worth the trip. The finish is exquisite as you would expect from AP and the dial color is just brilliant.

This is the second incoming from my boutique this year. The first incoming was my 15500st and we are just thrilled with our relationship with our SA and boutique management.

Here is a quick shot of the RO on my wife's wrist as she took delivery.

This is the million dollar question that I want to know the answer to.

How many RO 50th anniversary can one get this year?

Are they limiting to one per person?

What does everyone think?

So many more releases planned and I already got a ROC last month. Hope I don’t regret taking the early offer on the ROC.

That is a stunning watch. How difficult is that to procure compared to the men's pieces?

Curious about that too, I heard it can be difficult due to the low numbers made. Really beautiful watch OP!

Not sure how difficult the women's pieces are compared to the men's RO's, but I'm sure its almost as difficult due to lower production numbers. We added it to our wishlist last November. Not the 50th per se, but the previous reference. It was a sweet surprise to get the 50th version.

Beautiful piece! How many diamond carats do you reckon the bezel holds?

I was told at AP House that one person gets one watch this year from the 50th collection and the chances of getting the same watch you already own (but a 50th anniversary edition) won’t happen either.
My wife and I had our account/profile under my name (so her watches and my purchase history), I was told to separate them if there was a chance of getting one each. My wife’s been allocated a 15551ST light blue diamond dial, very excited for her to receive it! I however have not been allocated one (yet, hopefully).

Yes, that's what we did our previous visit. We separated my wife from my profile and started her own

So may I ask.. your SA knows that your wife will be allocated a light blue 15551st this year? They just don’t know when?

Thanks for sharing the insight! At first I was trying to get a lady RO for my wife under my account and thought it helps to build a better purchase history with diverse AP models. I should follow your approach to increase the chance of getting 50th edition in 2022 :-)
