i don't mind the the 50 meter depth, i'm a free diver and blue water hunter, can't go any deeper than 70 feet.

Afaik u can’t dive with 50meter WR, even at poolside deck (not diving board) Lol
And not recommended for ocean.
Or any prolonged swimming.

The wr depth doesn’t really reflect pressure created by sudden impact of water

Personally, I wouldn’t wanna risk $25k watch to moisture, especially salt water.

01111 all the way, the way the bezel/crystal are on that versus the 01112 looks a lot better. Only downfall of the 01111 is if you really need a date, otherwise 01111

thanks guys leaning towards the 1111 again, it was in the shop for a while and they gave me the option of the 1112.

Having never seen either in person, I'd go with the 1112, but just based on not really feeling Panerai's chronos (although I like their monopusher versions.. go figure). Overall, I like the simplicity of the 1112.

I appreciate how cool the gold and blue dial contrast looks. But my mind isn’t able yet to ok a purchase of a Panerai in gold. I love Panerai but that love is about the rugged/tool watch appeal.
Purely personal but if you can bypass that , which it looks like you already had, then maybe the 1111 might complement better your SD43 yellow gold.

I went with the 1111 when faced with the same choice (also have the steel version). I wear a Rolex anytime water is involved.

I think you made the right choice. The 1111 is just a much more interesting watch visually and mechanically in my opinion.

congrats on the 1111, it's a beauty. I personally went with the 1112, love the clean dial. either way that red gold against the sunburst blue dial is a killer combo. Enjoy!
