Rolex “complete kit” question
A serial 16610. What, if anything is missing from the complete kit?

all kits would be assembled by the AD/whatever they had on hand. Your set is definitely complete. The only other thing, that only made it out of the AD in some cases, would be a bezel protector. Looks like you also have a service booklet - if you really wanted to nerd out you can track down a period correct service pouch/box (which is dependent on year of service and only sometimes delivered back to client depending on who did the work)

Did bezel protectors exist yet back in 1999?

The caseback sticker. Can't recall if it's a hologram or a greeen stciker with a gold crown for that exact serial, I think the switch to the hologram came around that time.

The set is complete, but is it all correct? The books/manuals have years and months printed on them. You want to make sure they're dated at least several months up to a couple of years before the watch was sold.
I've bought a couple of "complete" sets through the years only to find out the booklets were dated after the watch's "birth," meaning they were assembled after the fact. Nerdy, I know, but it still bothered me. |

You can also go nuts analyzing the box types. There are different versions even of the same boxes. When I bought my 6263 set, I analyzed the box down to the grain on the top of the lid (there are two types of grain for late ' 70s into the '80s U.S. boxes, even though otherwise they look identical.) Just depends how picky you are about such things. The goal, of course, is to try to make sure the bits and pieces all originally came with the watch, although sometimes it's impossible to tell. |

Was the screwdriver tool and diver extension only for the Sea Dweller?

Yes, that is my understanding. Also, the Sub bracelet has a diver extension. The one that comes with Sea-Dweller is an extra? But the screwdriver/springbar tool is cool.
