NEW GMT Master II

Ok I'm new here, but Im so darn excited about my watch I have to share with others who obviuosly appreciate these fine timepieces. This is my first Rolex; a brand new 2009 GMT Master II with the green hour hand. I love it. After looking at all the other beuatiful watches here, I can see I am not alone.

So here's why I am bragging here. I've wanted this watch for years. Ive watched the models change over time and finally I said it's time. I went in paid cash and left with the watch. A tough thing to in this economy. I have worn the watch every day for the last week and a half and no one, not one person has noticed--NOT EVEN MY WIFE! Unbelieveable. I cruise around sporting this fine watch and not even my wife notices...cool. It's great, she hasn't said a word which means I dont have to explain the details and the cost. We'll see how long that lasts. AS for other people, who cares. I love it and I feel great wearing it.

Not sure which is more awesome.. the watch or the fact you got it without your wife questioning it or the several thousand $ hole in your bank account!

Fantastic watch and the very model I'm sizing up right now.. with my wife's blessing as well...

Why is it they always notice things we don't want them to?

Yes, a lovely watch and a future classic.

I am very tempted to try and trade up my GMT 11 to a C.

Enjoy!

HA! I just bought the exact same watch like 10 days ago, and same thing...I have gotten like one compliment...But I will tell you this, I know why you submitted this post, and its because of how beautiful the watch actually is...

My friend has the GMT Master II from a few years back, and when we go outside for a break, we compare, and the Ceramic Bezel is truly amazing...The bigger numbers, the bracelet, the clasp...It really is one of the nicest watches I have seen Rolex make...According to the Sales Person at Tourneau, he said the exact same thing, that this watch was one of the finest peices Rolex has made...

Anyway, enough rambling...Nice buy, and good luck...Just one more questions, and I hate to pry into your business, but do you mind sharing with me what you paid for the watch?

Thanks

It's funny... People don't notice what they're not ready to see. A Rolex is discrete, not like rolling up in a fancy car.

I had a Sub for seven years. Maybe 3-4 people noticed it in that period. And now I have a GMT IIc since 2 months. My wife didn't notice either until I told her a couple of weeks later.

It retails at $8100.00 in Canada. I talked it down to around 6000.

Haha My wife is the same way; to her every watch looks exactly the same. I was disappointed at first but it does have its benefits!
