Sand Hill Watch Company Review

Want to say thanks to Mike at Sand Hill Watch Company. I sent him my jubilee bracelet with 30 years of stretch and he returned 10 days later in absolutely perfect condition. For anyone in need of bracelet repair, I highly recommend calling Mike. Far exceeded expectations and communication was quick and responsive. Could not the happier.

What made you decide to try them over Michael Young? I really want to repair my 51 years of stretch but the watch has so much sentimental value that I’m afraid. Would definitely prefer not to gamble and ship to honk Kong and stay in the US, but you’re the only feedback I’ve seen on them

Good question. They had posted about a month ago or so with some pictures of similar work they had done. I checked them out and they are 100% legit and professional, they're real. The turn around time was a big factor, and like yourself keeping it in the U.S. was also important. They also sent this diagram reflecting the before and after, not sure if anyone else does this but I thought it was pretty cool.

How do their prices compare with Michael Young. I have a bracelet like yours, daily worn for 31 years, that really needs tightening up.

I'm sure every case is different, I paid around 350.

Thanks, they also send an assessment of the condition or wear level of the hollow links which was also pretty neat.

This looks really good.

The Jubilee's I have seen before looked way too cramped/tight. This looks perfect.

Probably a dumb question, does a severely stretch bracelet pose any risks while wearing? Meaning is it just aesthetics for having it repaired, or does wearing it constantly put the pins at risk of popping out randomly while walking down the street?

Nicely done, question...do the oyster bracelets do the same stretch after 30 years of wear also ?

HAHA!

OP, thanks for sharing. Looks like they do great work and love that they're in the states (less shipping/insurance cost + quicker turnaround).

Hey guys,

I am about to purchase a Datejust from Sand Hill Watch Company. I would like to know if they're legit and if anybody had experience buying a Rolex from them? They seem to have great reviews on Ebay but I just wanted to know if anybody has experience buying from them?

Thanks

Definitely legit, Mike is a great guy. Responsive and reliable. Did not do a purchase, just a service.

Warning: be careful of Sandhill Watch Co

I bought a second hand original ‘Rolex’ (or so I thought) that turned out to be a fake! Despite claims that this watch’s authenticity was certified and had been professionally refurbished it the no. 1 numeral became detached from the face within less than 6 months of purchase. I did not seek any redress from Sandhill WC but took it directly to Rolex to effect the repair. Rolex stated in writing that ‘the watch had been heavily modified’ and the the ‘serial number had been altered.’ Rolex refused to service or repair my watch due to its dubious identity. I brought this to the attention of Sandhill WC but to no avail. They offered me less than half of what I paid. Sandhill WC and MR M Hui are not to be trusted. They are charlatans, dishonest, liars and have no integrity. They have no concept of customer service. I suggest any prospective buyers be very cautious. Maybe use a reputable dealer. If you do buy anything from these people have it checked by the original manufacturer!

Imo, it would be nice if Michael would respond. Also, not sure if this is related, tried to go to the website on my computer and phone, and got an error message.
