what does sub lv mean?
just bought a dj about a month ago which was my first rolex and now i am wanting a second one. im thinking of getting a sub and had a few questions before i do. i see some people woth multiple inserts, how do i get them? what does lv stand for? i like the green sub the best what would be a good price on a pre owned one?

LV (lunette verde) is assigned to the 50th anniversary Submariner. It's the one with the green bezel. You can get a black insert for it, I believe through an AD, then switch them out to get a different look. As for price on a pre-owned, it would depend on condition, but maybe $4500 USD or so.

thank you all for the responses. so was the lv only available during certain years and if so what were the years? also are there different color lumes available for the sub? Id like a green lume so which models should I be looking at for that?

I think it's still being produced, but someone posted here that it's not in the new catalog. I've seen them at local AD's. I've never seen a Rolex with different lume colors. Anything you get should have the green lume.

Id thought Id seen some with a blue lume but maybe it was just the lighting of the picture playing tricks on me

The new Deep Sea has blue lume but I think that's it.
Kermit should have the 'standard' green lume. Good luck...I like it too!
