Is the face squarer than the tourby version? Or is it just just a bad picture illusion?

Not my cup of tea, but I hope it’s a home run for the brand.

I believe it is the same shape, just smaller at 41.5mm. 120m and grade 5 titanium.

I'm sorry but it looks like a Brew or some random microbrand sports watch. The Galet Square looks much more refined for a square shape.

Maybe it's just a bad pic but it looks ugly and cheaply made. Not for me.

If the brand weren't LF, I don't think anyone would think much of it.

Thanks for the article. I tend to like SS/titanium watches with blue dial but there are three issues that I can't get over. One being the relative bigger size at 41.5mm by 12.7mm for a 3-hander, second is the recessed date and second-hand sub-dial which make the whole dial quite cluttered in my opinion. Lastly, there are "too much bezel" at the four corners.

It is a very nice shade of blue though.

Something about the proportions and the squirkle just don't sit right.

I always loved the look of that tourby version, but when I saw this one... Somehow... Why is it so square comes to mind lol

Weird looking watch with a beautiful movement and awfully thick. I'd much prefer the Moser Streamliner for a sports watch from an independent maker.

I sort of dig it as I’m a titanium fanatic but not at 50k. I’m sure they will sell them.

Do think the styling of the tourbillon works much better

I really wish a lot more manufacturers would remove the date window especially on these type of sport watches.

I think it looks cool in a funky fun way. Would be great to see it on a blue leather strap.

It's good to see that one can count on TRF members to hate anything that gets released. Death, Taxes, and TRF.

I don’t know what to think of it unless it goes for a big premium on the secondary market, then I’ll think it’s great.

Or it’s great because I think it’ll go for a big premium on the secondary market, I’m not sure.

It’s too hard to decide with these kinds of watches in these times

Alright, i wasn’t going to say anything because I love this brand….but I don’t understand the pricing at all and it’s inexcusable to me.

You replace the double direct impulse escapement with a Swiss lever because it is more robust…fine I get it. The half bridge no longer has interior angles or black polish…okay fine. The lower plate and jeweled staff have been redesigned to have less curvature, making the anglage easier to execute….okay fine. Remove the cote de Geneve….okay.

I’m fine with all of these changes…but they all result in a much easier and cheaper movement to finish. A movement that no longer has a double direct impulse escapement. And….it’s more money? A bracelet and platinum micro rotor do not outweigh those cost cutting moves the movement took.

Reminds me of a Futurama episode with the Emeril lagasse character, you gotta try the pasta it's got a real nice profit margin bam!

I was thinking the same. Design aside, this feels like a cash grab AP style. Cheapen the movement, charge more, Bennahmias style, just need an avenger on the dial and LF will be the next hype brand.
