Stock Gallardo comes with steel rotors, cross drilled and ventilated. The Scud comes standard with the carbon ceramics, which is about $25k option on other models.

I thought you were saying the pads were ceramic, from what you are saying im assuming that when they say ceramic brakes they are referring to the rotors are actually carbon ceramic? That is impressive, wonder what that conversion will set me back for the gallardo....

I was referring to the Rotors, yes.
I'm guessing you're looking at probably US$20k for that upgrade. Would be wise to get them considering your car has 1000+ RWHP!!!!!

that would be smart,Although i have a couple cars that are very high HP a skyline that has a bit over 800, its not AWD and the typical 4 piston calipers with CD rotors have been fine so far, but i dont really track race very much i do more drifting than anything and that is fairly low speed rarely exceeding 120MPH. But the carbon ceramics would be cool to have if for nothing more than bragging rights

I have an AWD mustang dyno. It can work with FWD or RWD by unbolting the second set of wheels. Its a pain to switch but back when i bought this dyno i specialized in EVOS and STIs so i had to have an AWD dyno

Unfortunately the mustang is a cheaper dyno and is limited to 1100HP so once i exceed that i will have to go somewhere to have it dynoed

Be lucky to save 100kg to 120kg....the weight of an overweight passenger

PS: the door trims are also CF, RAW.

That is an insane amount of CF very awesome. What is the price difference in the scuderia vs a standard 430?

I have never driven a Maserati i have heard good things about the Quattroporte though.

There is a group in russia that has built some gallardos that are 1400-1500 HP i dont know how they are doing it but i have seen the videos of the dyno runs. My goal sounds insane but it has been done many many times. Ill get there i just have to get time to figure out where i have went wrong with he computer.

Entry level for a new Ferrari here in Aust is on the wrong side of $500k on road. Mind you our Peso is just about on par with the US$ which makes it sick!

What a beautiful car Des, I'm going on a Ferrari driving day bought as a present from my girlfriend and I get to blast one of those round a track for half a day. Can't wait

Very jealous that you get to drive one every day if the mood took you.

Hi Neill, it ain't my car, please refer to post #37. I just get the privilege to drive exotics.
They check me/CV out on Googlism and trust I can replicate what I do virtually and hopefully in real life.
It's all good, get to try out press cars and the exotics both here in Aust and overseas.
The Audi day is always a highlight with V8 Supercar drivers giving us tips.....SLOW DOWN NOW!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't believe the misinformation.

Classic Ferraris -- like my 328 GTB (1 of 1344 worldwide, 1 of ~150 in the US, 1 of 2 in silver/red) -- are not only drop-dead gorgeous, they:
--(pic. 1) come in colors other than red
--(pic. 2) are very practical -- even for a Costco run!
--(pic. 3) won't melt in the snow
--(pic. 4) and esp. since they are analog cars without all the computers like in today's cars, anyone can work on them. :)

A simple switch on the steering wheel (CF again ) letting the driver choose the settings according to weather and mood. Left if you're hungover, right when you're fresh and confident

Lovely 328 GTB and Stingray
What's the 1/4 mile time for the 454 Stingray?

That 328 GTB is one of the best looking ferraris ever built IMO, love them. Excluding the F series cars, the only one i prefer over the 328 is the 365 GTB/4.

Not a fan of vettes but that one is a very clean and sharp.

CST turns off all driver aids correct? How much different is that VS race? is it preferable to use cst or race on track days or does that depend on driver skill?
