^^^ wow.

Will you decant, and for how long?

I have a few bottle but they are all 13,14 and 15. I promised myself to hold until they hit 10 years. At the Opus tour the guide says he waits at least 15 years! So much patience.

No decanting. This one will stay in the bottle. Don’t want to risk over oxygenating and losing it too quickly.

Pretty sporty my friend!!

How was the 94 Hillside Select?

The last few 94 Napa Cabs I opened were good - but had faded a bit.

Hi Rog, it was really good. If I was stuck on a deserted island and could choose only one wine it would be HSS. Sun Spot is awesome.

Lovely stuff!!

Can someone please point me in the direction of where I can buy some Amizetta? I’m heading to New York in Sept and can get it shipped there.

The damn thing is impossible to find.

Not sure how far their distribution ‘arm’ goes - especially on the East Coast. I’ve had some friends in NC have some issues getting ahold of it as well.

I’d call the winery - talk to Georgia or Perry — they might be able to point you in a solid direction. Spent quite a bit of time with them at the winery - and some private wine dinners over the years. They are fantastic people!!!

Cheers!!!

It was SOLID my friend. Drinking beautifully. Lots of fruit on the nose as well as on the palate. Showing very well.

I have a few left. I may open another sometime soon! Seems like it’s got quite a bit of life left in it.

Cheers!!

Given that my wife is away for the weekend, I think is just about time I stard digging in my Eurocave to treat myself tonight.

Ths Brunello is from one of my favorite producer of Brunello- Andrea Cortonesi. Its Winery (Uccelliera), sits just South of Montalcino, probably the hottest part of the Brunello's Appellation.
2004 was a great Vintage, it is not at its peak yet. I opened 6 bottles in the last 10 months and it is still improving.
Very earthy, leathery, tobacco, dried cherries, plum, orange zest with a long finish ! Definitely one of the Best expression of Brunello's around !

Cheers !
