Good luck. They know my wife Jill if you want to tell them how you learned about them.

Anyway, hope it works out for you.

at this point tell them Jill put the Rolex forum on to their products! That will explain the recent influx of Americans ordering men's wallets.

GB-Man, are the bi-fold versions $250 as well?

How to order from Faure Le Page:

According to wife, who ordered for us:

1. Email boutique@faurelepage.com and ask them to send you their catalog, and if you want a specific item ask them about purchasing that and to request the price and color.

2. Give them your shipping address to get shipping cost.

3. Le Page will email you back with a catalog or info on your specific item.

4. When you tell them you are ready to place the order,
request the link to place the order. Then they will give you in an email the secure link for payment via credit card or paypal.

5. You get billed in Euros, your credit card company converts to USD.

6. After the item arrives, you will be billed a customs charge. This is not a VAT. We have not received the customs bill yet. There are no taxes on the purchase, just a customs fee.

7. Le Page uses TNT (like Fedex) to ship.

8. Payment gets processed immediately and depending on timing (time difference), you will get a shipping confirmation via email with tracking info. It takes about 4-5 days for shipment to arrive from France to US (in our case California).

9. Because of the big time difference, there was a lag between email exchanges. Be patient.

10. And they do not always have every item in stock in the color you want, but they will ship once it is in stock if you tell them to notify you when it comes in stock. This happened with the wife's tote. She was on the wait list and it cam in stock in a about a week.

Hope this helps.
locutus49, Thanks for sharing the ordering information. Cheers, Tim

Re. these wallets, they are going for almost 2x MSRP on ebay. Looks like this is a major arbitrage opportunity

I'm currently waiting on the catalog and price sheet, but was wondering how much the Daily Battle bags run...specifically the Small and Medium. I see what they are going for on eBay, but I would imagine there is a mark-up.

My wife is still asleep. When she wakes up in 2 hours, I'll ask her what the Tote cost. She is getting the medium size, 37cm. It should arrive tomorrow or the next day.

Thanks!

FWIW, there is also a lengthy thread about Faure Le Page on the PurseBlog with various pics and info. The brand seems to be growing in popularity and has quite an interesting history.

locutus49, thanks for sharing! I'm surprised their Japanese boutique is in Osaka and not somewhere like Ginza.

233 euros ex vat plus shipping for the larger one. So roughly 320 USD shipped I estimate.

There may be a duty levied on top but I'm not sure how much?

Have you been billed by the government john? Lol

According to my wife, there is no VAT or US federal or state tax.

There is a US customs fee that will be billed to us separately. We have not received the bill yet.

According to the Youtube reviewers who bought the totes, the customs fee is equivalent to a US tax, but I don't recall the % of the sale.

I will post that on this thread when we receive the customs fee.

I also got a very detailed response from Faure le Page with pics of the items I was interested in. Since the wallet is the same as GB-man I am not going to post anything else. They did send me pics of the majority of wallets they have so if others are interested I can post.

As for the customs costs, I have bought numerous things from international ebay sellers and the rules on what you have to pay seem to be different for every shipment. Generally I have NOT had to pay anything on foreign shipments with a value of LESS than $500. Shipments OVER $500 have had some come thru without any customs charge and some I have had to pay customs charges on. Last example I have is on a shipment from the UK, the item cost around $1000 and I was charged around $90 in customs and processing fees. Honestly it seems like when a service like UPS, FedEx or a courier is used I get a fee for higher value shipments and when the Postal Service is used I do NOT. Companies (vs individual sellers) generally will only use courier type services so my gut is that you should plan on paying around 10% of the value in customs fees.

As expected Louise responded overnight, great thorough email with picture and catalogue. Of course I forgot to request a shipping quote to my house.
Sent my wife the link to the catalogue as well, may as well see if she has any interest.
Thanks again, guys!

Wife says medium Battle tote 37cm was $800 (includes shipping to CA) plus the customs fee that we will receive separately.

The comparable medium LV Neverfull is $1260 plus tax.

Comparable Goyard is a little more expensive than the LV.

My wife said if you order a tote, make sure and specify expedited shipping.

They shipped my wallet by air but her tote by ground, because she did not specify expedited on the tote, which she ordered a week after the wallet.

Shipping was free, so maybe that is how they save money on large items.

Here's a link to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS). You can search for your item and it will list the customs cost. For example, a leather hand bag is 8% in 4202.11.00 (with some listed exceptions from places not France).

Would you mind posting the link to the catalogue? I was given prices for what I inquired about but a catalogue might show things I didn't know about.

It arrived in one day! The quality and craftsmanship is incredible. So much so that it's extremely difficult to put credit cards in it. You can tell the leather will last for a long time. Faure Le Page is the new Goyard.

Huge congrats. Glad you like it. Yeah, credit cards are a tight fit, but they do fit in in.

Wallet looks nice, but I'd wait until can be purchased in US.
