How easily readable is it?

With the new salmon 5320 released this last week I’m considering it over the cream (though I’m sure tough to obtain with my AD).

Thoughts on the differences between the cream and salmon?

The cream is super readable. I tried one on a couple times and fell in love with it. Was on my wishlist for the year. Guess I’m going for the salmon dial now, which is fine by me. It looks like it has more contrast and probably even more legible.

Thanks, and I totally agree on the salmon legibility. However, I do predict it being difficult to obtain. The cream is likely more versatile with its ability to seamlessly go with any strap. Salmon will be stunning and sure collectors piece.

Might be easier than you think, don't think that's an allocation piece at many ADs. I was offered the 5320g salmon dial as a first Patek (never asked for it, I'm looking for the 5212) a week or so ago. I turned it down, and visited the AD a couple of days ago; it was still in the case. It was my first time seeing a Patek salmon dial in person - a bit underwhelming and dull to my eye.

I guess beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. I fell in love the moment I saw it at the AD last month. Put in my interest immediately.

agreed unfortunately a little out of budget for me. cream dial is also a stunner I have seen it on so many cool straps now. If I ever get the chance to get for around 60k Id snatch it up.

Any waiting list so far? My AD says can’t get immediately but not unobtainable for sure.

I think I got one of the last white dial 5320G in existence. Of course they discontinued this and replaced it with a salmon dial. I don’t think I like the salmon color for a Patek. Everyone is different of course. Color is subjective. I don’t like a black dial for a dress watch either. So there you go.

So you buy watches based on how well there doing in the market ?

Is the salmon on this the same as the one on the 5270P? That salmon seems a bit less dark, but maybe it's because of a larger number of contrasting black elements on the dial. I think the cream dial looks great though, especially on the grey strap as pictured earlier in the thread

the new salmon dial on 5320g and 5172g is ugly to me, not on the same level of 5270p. i tried to love but was unable to.

No, in fact the 5320/5172 Salmon is more rose. The 5270/5450 Salmon is more gold/yellow/honey (you can have a look here https://www.hightime-reviews.com/pat...-and-pictures/)

The 5320/5172's is a little like the 5024G Gondolo.

It is. I just don’t like the salmon dial. I get why other people do though. The more I study this piece the more I love it. I wish they had a rose gold version. anyway I pick it up this Thursday. Along with a new Type 21 breguet
