DLC/PVD Coating: Need Service
Hello RF,
I recently purchased a Bamford Milgauss Polaris. The watch has some wear (which I intend to keep as is, as it relieves me of putting surface scratches on the watch which, I would have). However, I am inbetween links and I need to have a Oyster half-link DLC/PVD coated. Anyone reccommend a vendor here or elsewhere that can coat the link? Thanks, Dave

Hey Dave,
Can you ask Bamford to do it? My hesitation with using anybody else is that the coating might have a slightly different shade of black and stick out when it hits the light. Otherwise make sure you send a coated link along with your half link to make sure they know what the target shade is. I don't know who does coating these days, but that's what I can offer. |

DLC or PVD is not as popular as it was a few years ago, and even then it wasn't that.
There are still a few places who do the work, but it may be best to start with Bamford, they may even have some of their links in stock. A quick Google shows some who might be able to help you out, but all of them seem to want to see/evaluate what you want before pricing.

Can only STRONGLY repeat what others have said, go to Bamford as they have the exact process / materials to match what you have.
