Ive had my eye on a new 36mm DJ, most of the hot dials were trading close to double retail, now regular dials are basically at retail, and hot dials 25% premium. Definitely a good sign for people who just want to get one to enjoy.

Same experience here with 2 different models.

I don’t want a world where those large grey dealers fail. I want to go back to 2015 where they existed with us. The difference was those you tube monkeys didn’t exist.

The guys selling 10 JM Daytonas and nothing else just piss me off. Get shot of them and I am happy.

Good night from London!

i think LB is a bit different from the rest though because they have a pretty big and legitimate operation that goes past watches and they don't only focus on 10 models like every other youtube grey dealer that wanted to get rich
I just feel bad for every non watch person that bought into the BS in an effort to diversify their investment portfolios
I recall one vid (6 months- 1 year ago) where a infamous dealer delivered a fully stickered Platona to a new client who bought it purely as an investment piece
I bet that guy is sweating bullets right now

I think LB will be fine, Roman managed to survive the 08 crash and have a pretty diverse business offering, he's the only well known youtuber i follow that seems to push/mention brands outside of the hype and has said many times, theres almost no margin in rolex these days.
Fingers crossed his sales staff are good at actually selling watches rather than just taking orders as i fear they may be in for a shock

The closer to msrp the better for me. I don’t care about watch dealers and it’s not my concern if they go out of business. I just want to expand my collection on a routine basis at the lowest cost. It’s just business ultimately even for an emotional item for watch collectors.

You don’t even have to go that far back. Late 2000’s and the housing market, but FOMO is real, and ai think it impacts even those who do remember. I remember all the threads in this forum saying Rolex prices will only ever appreciate - people seriously seemed to think that Rolex would be the first asset in history to just appreciate forever. We are still not seeing Rolex at a discount at ADs, but yhe price seems done rising.

Not waiting at all, don’t care.

I have moved on. Rolex neither wants nor needs my business and I am very happy
