"will be robbed" - last visit to London my wife and I were wearing our Rolex' (Datyonta/BLNR) all over town, bus, tube, taxi, walking, nothing happened. So your categorical statement is false. Was in Munich earlier this month, around the center it seemed like half the people were wearing Rolex or nicer watches. Later wore the BLNR in Italy for a week, short sleeves and all, nothing. I might make an exception for Barcelona, though

Funniest thing is that OP didn't even ask about advice on "safety", but specifically about insurance.

Astonishing only to those who have not followed news since 2014.

I'd be interested also. I've played tourist for a total of about a month in London, and never been bothered. I've been blessed with great weather while I've been there and always worn short sleeved shirts.

I think a little situational awareness and not looking like a victim go a long way.

Insurance might replace an object, but it certainly won't replace your life.

With all of these 'is it safe' & 'Insurance in XXX country' questions, the point remains exactly the same... be sensible and do what you can to ensure not only your own safety, but those with you... perhaps friends, family or other loved ones.

The number of attacks is irrelevant IMO, even one is one too many. The common trend amongst all of these attacks is that they are increasing in frequency and more importantly violence...

This comment begs the question... what does a victim look like?

Deary me.

Please inform us how 'situational awareness' comes into it when two people on a moped pull up next to you wearing balaclavas, in broad day light, and forcibly remove your watch?

I find your 'not looking like a victim' comment particularly insulting. I suppose the chap who was battered for his Patek in the thread 'looks like a victim' in your book?

Moron.

You plan to bring multiple versions of the same watch?

That’s weird.
