Was Showering With My SS SkyD Blue And….
Am a typical watch guy I guess, quite active and wear my mechanical timepiece 24/7/365 and expect it to work. All day, every day. Beach, bicycling, when working on the car… Problem is she gets a bit dirty on days like today so was in the show and decided to clean her more thoroughly. Took the SS SkyD Blue off my wrist, checked the crown for tightness, then got my fave watch cleaning soap (Armani Code). Slippery stuff and the watch was in my hand as was cleaning it. Anywho, so while rinsing it off I lifted it to the shower head to ensure the soap is washed off. Then put it back on my wrist, left shower, toweled off, etc. Checked the crown and she was still tight. What I then noticed is…. How clean she is. Great looking watch, love it.
Were you expecting a different outcome? It’s a Rolex and can get wet, be taken into the shower, etc. Life is good. Alas, too busy to take a pic. Insert photo of clean watch with scratched bracelet from being worn every day here.

Steven, you CANNOT wear a Rolex in the shower!!! I am sorry, your Skydweller is ruined... very sad.

Ha yes I thought your story was going in a different direction for a second there. I too have had the same experience with my Sea Dweller and I love how shiny and new it comes out looking, unscathed from the dangers of the shower.

I have been known to spray my rubber straps with Armani Code, gives a nice surprise smell later on and throughout the day. Too tight to do it with the Creed tho.

I thought you were going to say it slipped and you dropped it on the shower floor amd somehow damaged it. Phew !
I usually rinse it in the sink and out some soap on a super soft baby toothbrush and gently clean and rinse off with warm water - sparkling amd squeaky clean after that. Enjoy your SkyDwller ! |

I was expecting some terrible turn of events here.
Next time you should freeze it then drop it in boiling water. Seems to be the new spa treatment for Rolex watches around these parts.

Unless you shower with high pressure water jet, I don't see what the problem is. :)
