The 16613 gets my vote. I guess I'm just a bit bias because that's the one I have.

I prefer the old blue... it has a metallic quality that the ceramic doesn't...

saw both in the flesh today!
the old blue - darker, more subtle, elegant. but the size of the watch and the gold tone makes it look like jewelry the new blue - flatter color, muted. but due to the maxi dial, this watch seems a bit more flampboyant both have its strengths. |

Prefer the 16613, but the lume on the Maxi dial is winning me over.

The pictures shown in this review really accentuate the size increase of the lugs. I agree with the writer in a sense that the design changes definitely transform the look of the original Submariner. Looking at those pictures, Rolex should have re-designed the bracelet/lug integration to create a little better "flow".
I will say though, the TT models do show the size difference more, whereas the SS models don't seem to look quite as enormous...could just be my eyes though... Personally, I love both designs. I am one of the few that really enjoy the "new" blue... EDIT: I apologize for bringing this thread back from the dead!!!

The new blue is more elegant and that the word engraving is more clear with ceramic bezel. Definitely 116613 is a lot better. Also the old blue of 16613 is unluck for Chinese culture.
